About Us

Lush and Tallow didn't start as a business. It started as an act of self care.

Thirteen years ago, I heard three words in a doctor's office that changed my life: you have cancer. It shook me awake in a way nothing else had, and it reminded me how grateful I am for this life. Slowly, and over time, I started paying closer attention to what I was putting into my body. It was a process. I am not saying I am perfect, not even today, but I began moving toward organic foods, removing plastics, and away from the junk and toxins that had quietly become part of my normal life. That shift never stopped. Year after year, I kept learning, kept simplifying, kept getting closer to the earth in how I ate and how I lived.

Recently, I started to question my skincare products. Not only was it expensive, with little to no results, but I couldn't even read the ingredient lists. I was curious. There had to be something better, something that existed before all of the disruptors, toxins, and chemicals found their way into what we put on our skin.

So I began doing my own research. I studied, I read, I experimented. Slowly, the pieces started coming together.

In 2025, at 46, I began this journey. I thought it was just for myself. But oh, how that changed over time.

I started sharing what I made with friends and family, and they loved it. Their joy became my own. It kept me going, and before I knew it I was building more and more, creating one product after another simply because it brought me so much happiness, and I was having fun!

Quite quickly, I realized I was reaching less and less for commercial brands, and more and more for my own. Today, Lush and Tallow is all I use for my skincare.

That is what Lush and Tallow is built on. Not perfection. Not chasing youth, but embracing aging in grace with ingredients from our Creator.

With care, honesty, and lots of love,
